A little about me
I trained at Coventry City College of Art in the early 1960s, subsequently working in an art and design studio in Warwick for the remainder of the 60s and all of the 70s.
Freelancing in the early 80s, I moved into lecturing in Further Education at Warwickshire College, Leamington Spa in the UK – becoming Assistant Director of Art and Design at the college in the later stages of my full-time career.
I have MAs in ‘Art and Design Education’ and ‘Visual and Material Culture of the Ancient World’ – both from the University of Warwick, and have undertaken substantial PhD research on ‘Making and Knowing’, using the ideas of Ernst Cassirer and Martin Heidegger to investigate Symbolic Form and Phenomenology.
Now retired from full-time employment I do what I like most:
sculpting, life drawing, and print making.
